£75 raised so far from Blue Murder sales for the Ivory Coast school!! Here's Stacey with Blue Murder at my mum's school. So far this year, we have raised over £1300!!
You may all have seen the Stacey Dooley Invesitgates programme on BBC3. If you haven't you should watch out for them! In 2009 I watched Kids With Machetes with my mum. This film was about a cocoa farming village in Ivory Coast and featured lots of children who were unable to go to school because they needed more classrooms. It was about this time that I was starting secondary school and getting the most amazing opportunity for education. I want every child in the world to be able to go to school, so I have been raising money for the Ivory Coast school ever since.
On New Years Day January 2010 I walked 17 miles around Rutland Water and the money I raised went towards building a third classroom for the school at Sinokkosin.
Now out - the third and final book in the James Taylor series.......£1.50 from the proceeds will go to support the school in Ivory Coast.
New Year Walk for Cote D'Ivoire
I met Stacey Dooley from BBC's Kids With Machetes on January 5th and she was lovely and really interested and very pleased with how much money we had raised. Photos that I took on the walk are below. | |
